”We will make the Nordic people healthier and happier” – is the vision of SATS ELIXIA, the biggest fitness chain in the Nordic countries, and they could also add “safer“ to their vision!
During late spring of 2015, SATS ELIXIA opened the doors to their newest facility ”ELIXIA Røa Bad” located on the beautiful hills above Oslo, the capital of Norway. Røa Bad is one of few the facilities where SATS ELIXIA operate pools and the first where they have Sentag Pool Safety.
This is a completely automated facility integration with the Metra RFID access solution. The two thousand Sentags, wristbands, for entrance, dressing room lockers and drowning detection are automatically issued and collected through Metra wristband issuing and retention units. Annual members at Elixia Røa Bad receives a personal Sentag wristband while day visitors are issued a wristband through the machine at the entrance after buying a ticket. This allow dayguests to enter the facility, use the lockers and all wristbands are collected through a wristband retention unit positioned at the exit.
Sentag Pool safety monitors three pool areas; a 25 metre pool, a therapy pool and a playpool with circulating water and is connected to external lights and sound, walki-talkies and video cameras.
“Referring to very high requirements of our client it was very important for FIMA as the main contractor of Minsk Water Park project to provide automated drowning detection solution of the highest standard. Implementing Sentag drowning detection system in one of the Europe’s largest complex projects was supposed to be a challenge, but it all went very smoothly. We were impressed with the simplicity of the system, installation and operation that proves its reliability and innovativeness.
